The Microsolo 900 Transport is alternating air pressure flotation seat cushion and mattress surface designed for use by individuals at risk for pressure sores. This software-based system can be used with a variety of surfaces for continuity of care, including a wheelchair seating system, a mattress replacement, an overlay for prevention, as well as surfaces for operating room tables and stretchers. The system utilizes the ArchimedesLinker Algorithm which automatically measures the user's weight and body contour and automatically imprints the data into RAM. The system uses the data to examine and automatically respond to any patient movement every 11 seconds, adjusting the second more than 300 times per hour to provide optimum support. The complete system includes the air control unit, air mattress replacement, and the wheelchair seating surface. Modes of operation include the normal cycle (float); pulsating 10-, 20-, or 30-minute cycles, and hard mode. The pressure range can be set for all modes except the hard mode which is preset. This transportable system is offers a scale feature with instant display of the user weight in pounds or kilograms, auto zero balance, non-volatile zero memory, a hold feature which enables additional weight to be added to the bed without effecting the correct weight calculation, and quick display of weight change over time. The user can be weighed in any position on the bed. POWER: Uses standard electrical current with automatic switch-over to internal 12-volt battery in the event of power interruption for two to four hours of operation. The unit is equipped with a fifteen-foot cord with a hospital-grade plug and automatic battery charging. Optional external inputs for 12- or 24-volt direct current. OPTIONS: Mattress overlay, surgical table overlay, and an ambulance stretcher overlay. DIMENSIONS: The controller is 15 x 7.5 x 5.5 inches (WxHxD) and the mattress replacement is 80 x 37 x 9 inches (LxWxH). WEIGHT: The controller weighs 10 pounds and the mattress replacement weighs 11 pounds.
