The Profile Sitting Orthosis is a wedge foam seat cushion designed to minimize ischial tuberosity pressure. The construction encourages modified anterior pelvic tilt and, consequently, an upright sitting posture, and reduces slouching that can result from using a sling seat style wheelchair without modification. Ischial pressure is relieved by contouring and shaping the rear of the cushion. A pressure distributing layer of T-Foam (see separate entry) interfaces between the shaped cushion and the user. The tapered distal edges relieve the pressure ridge on the posterior aspect of the thigh. The solid seat design (concave bottom) is incorporated into the cushion base. The cushion is covered on the bottom with a no-slip, breathable material, and on the top with Alitex, a breathable, waterproof Gortex membrane. DIMENSIONS: 16 x 18 inches (no. 1210) or 16 x 16 inches (no. 1211).

Notes: T-Foam and Alitex are trademarks of Alimed, Inc.

Price: 198.00.
