(Verified 7/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Portable Tone Indexer is designed to mark locations on tapes for pagination, note taking, highlighting, cueing of songs, etc. on any recorder. Tones are audible in the fast forward and rewind mode of any recorder/player which has the cue/review mode. The unit's cable plugs into the recorder's microphone jack, and the user's external microphone plugs into the jack on the side of the unit's box. When making a location, the switch is depressed at the same time as recording. The tone indexer can also be used with the built-in recorder microphones. POWER: 1 9-volt battery (included). DIMENSIONS: 3 x 5 inches.
