RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Model TDR-6 BTE, behind the ear, binaural hearing aid and FM receiver: two hearing aid circuits with ear level environmental microphones and an FM receiver. All electronics, controls and the rechargeable battery are in compact receiver unit. The TDR-6 is designed for use as either primary personal amplification or in group auditory training systems. Standard metal belt clip. Body harness with locking snaps. Ink erasable label for student's name. Protected, flush fitting, plug in channel crystal. High fidelity amplifiers. Two BTE electret environmental microphone receiver units. Automatic "no FM" indicator provides for system checks and warns of FM signal loss. Automatic low battery indicator. Separately calibrated low cut and SPL trimmers for left and right audio channels. An FM level trimmer with a range of 12 decibels boosts the FM signal above the gain of the hearing aid section. Auxiliary input jack for use with television, tape recorders, and other audio visual units. Rechargeable with either a classroom size TC-series charger or a jack type AC-1 charger. Can use AC-1 charger for operating power. Separate FM and hearing aid function switches and lift and night volume controls. Specifications as follows. Hf - average full on gain, 64 decibels standard, 68 decibels high power. Maximum gain 66 decibels, 78 decibels. Reference test gain 51 and 56 decibels. Frequency response normal tone 100 - 4000 hz, 120 - 4300 hz. Low cut 170 - 4400 hz, 250 - 4500 hz. Equivalent input noise 27 decibels, 26 decibels. Battery type, rechargeable NI-CD, 9 volt, 100 MA capacity. Battery operating time, 9 to 11 hours. Hearing aid alone 16 to 20 hours. Size 2.3 by 1.13 by 3.75 inches. Weight with battery 6 ounces.
