The Clarity Professional W425 Pro is a large button amplified cordless telephone designed for use by people who are hard of hearing or have low vision. This phone amplifies incoming sound up to 45 decibels (dB) and the base offers adjustable ringer levels up to 95 dB. The phone features Clarity Power technology to make phone conversations louder, clearer and more understandable. Other features include large backlit keys with high contrast numbers, 13 speed dial buttons, bright visual ringer, three tone settings (flat, high, and Clarity Power), and a detachable belt clip. The handset also has a 2.5-millimeter jack for assistive listening devices or headset. The phone is hearing aid compatible and can be mounted on a wall. POWER: The base is powered by a 7.5 volt DC 500mA AC adapter that plugs into a standard household outlet; the handset uses a 3.6 volt 600mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery. Battery life is 6 hours of talk time and 5 days of standby time. DIMENSIONS (HxWxD): Handset unit – 7 x 2 x 1.25 inches. Base – 3 x 5.5 x 4 inches.
