--- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Television telecaption adapter receives and displays close captioned dialogue on any TV screen. Easy to connect to any TV, cable service, satellite dish or VCR. Improvements over the older model include its smaller size, electronic tuning (versus mechanical tuning), wireless remote control, 181 channels (cable ready). LED digital channel readout. 14 by 9 by 3 inches. FCC approved. Carrying case available ($ 34.95); made of waterproof nylon, lined with heavy foam padding; includes adjustable shoulder strap.

Notes: Design flaw discovered in March 1986 was resolved as of August 1986. All new units are compatible with all premium cable service descrambler boxes. Old incompatible units should be returned to NCI, Attention: Telecaption II retrofit. Include return address, telephone number, copy of most recent cable TV bill and name of dealer where purchased. No COD shipments accepted. Will be returned within 4 weeks.
