Picture of ACTIWATCH-2, ACTIWATCH SPECTRUM, & ACTIWATCH SCORE Actiwatch-2, Actiwatch Spectrum, and Actiwatch Score are electronic motion evaluation systems designed for use by individuals with sleep disorders. These wristwatch style actigraphs digitally record data on gross motor activity and sleep/wake patterns. Each model has an accelerometer and the ability to record additional data channels. In addition to sleep/wake activity, Actiwatch 2 features the ability to record the amount and duration of ambient white light in units of lux. Other features include a 1 megabyte of storage capacity, waterproof casing, the ability to be used with a hospital band, and a USB-connected communications dock. Actiwatch Spectrum has all the features of Actiwatch-2, plus three color light sensors (red, green, and blue), and a liquid crystal display (LCD) for time, date and device status indicators. In addition to the objective activity data, Actiwatch Score also allows the user to record subjective scores for any parameter that can be classified on a programmable scale from 0 to 15. This allows the clinician or therapist to correlate objective activity data with subjective data normally collected by a patient diary. It can also be used to document the effectiveness of interventions on conditions of interest. A programmable alarm prompts the user to enter a quantifiable score. Alarms can be set to a schedule or to sound at random intervals. POWER: Actiwatch-2 uses a rechargeable battery.
