Picture of GOOD BALANCE -- DISCONTINUED. VERIFIED 2/2012. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. -- Good Balance is a balance and posture training system designed for use by individuals with balance disabilities. The system helps the physical therapist or physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist to determine the user's proper balance and retrain the user's body to achieve an accurate sense of balance. The system uses a force platform to measure postural control in different static and dynamic testing conditions, and provides visual and auditory feedback to analyze and train balance and postural assymetry. The therapist can compare test results over time to monitor progress. Assessments are based on valid normative values for different age groups, with separate values for males and females. The force platform is made of lightweight fiberglass composite material for portability, and is available in different sizes.
