The PVI Rear Door Ramp, models VAN727 and VAN827, is a van ramp designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This ramp mounts to the floor of the van inside the doorway. It has three sections and is manually operated with a spring assist. The unit has durable welded construction, with an anti-slip, high traction surface. The ramp accommodates wheelchairs and scooters with various wheel configurations, and it can be operated by one person. The unit stores vertically inside the doorway of the van. DIMENSIONS (LxW): Unfolded, 84 x 27 inches (VAN727) or 96 x 27 inches (VAN827). Folded height is 36 inches (VAN727) or 40 inches (VAN827). An inside door opening of at least 34 inches is required; the floor to ceiling opening must be at least 37 inches for the 84-inch ramp and 41 inches for the 96-inch ramp. CAPACITY: 300 pounds for single axle, 600 pounds for double axle. WEIGHT: 72 pounds (VAN727) or 77 pounds (VAN827).
Notes: The manufacturer states that a conversion kit is required if the rear door opening contains a threshold.
