Roof mounted and power driven, suitable for use on either side of car with roof gutters. Accommodates all makes and sizes of manual wheelchairs. Equipment requires minimal physical effort and movement to use. Operated from inside the car. Unit connects directly to car battery and is controlled by dashboard mounted master switch and operated by 2 control cords connected to power pack on roof. Motor is used in conjunction with 2 power springs and a winch provides a dual lifting system. Wheelchair tilts on 2 nylon wheels under its own weight and descends in upright position close to car door. A latch secures chair to carrier, with a warning light if latch disengages. Buzzer sounds when latch is properly locked. Unit is constructed of tubular steel and weatherproof Masonite, with wheelchair cover of Nyplax held securely by pretensioned draw strings. Mounted on roof gutters with 4 brackets, similar to roof rack, with wide range of width and height adjustment, requires no drilling or car alteration. 5 amp current during operation. Weight 110 pounds.
