The Braun Ambulette is a van conversion designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This van conversion features a Dodge, Ford, or Chevrolet standard length chassis with a 24-inch raised top and a Millennium Series wheelchair lift mounted in either the side or rear door. Two floor plans are available for different combinations of ambulatory seating and wheelchair securement positions. Other features include Braun Fold-A-Way seating, vertical stanchion bar(s), a modesty panel, half-inch plywood underflooring, lift and stepwell lights, seat belts and retractors, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) interlock, ADA decals, vertical mount rear heat and air conditioning, and hand-held controls with rocker switches for lift operation.
