The HomeTOVA Attention Screening Test is a cognitive rehabililtation evaluation program designed for use by individuals with attention deficit disorder (ADD), brain injury, learning disabilities, stroke, and other cognitive and neurological disabilities. This software program is a performance-based screening test for attention and impulsivity problems, based on the Test of Variables of Attention (TOVA). It is not a questionnaire. The test measures the testtaker's attention as the testtaker uses a mouse to respond to a series of flashing squares on the screen. Results show how the testtaker compares to the general population. OPTIONS: Available as an Internet download or as a set of two floppy disks. The download version is free but can only be used with the purchase of "test credits." Users of the download version can purchase as many test credits as they wish. The Disk Set comes with two test credits, and users of the Disk Set must purchase another Disk Set to take more tests. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTSEM REQUIREMENTS: 100 megahertz (MHz) Pentium 586 or better processor; Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, or 2000 operating system; and 5 megabytes (MB) of disk space. For for the Download Version, a reliable connection to the internet is required and for the Disk Set a 3.5-inch floppy drive is required.
