The Parallel Poles with Base, model P10 is an adjustable standing frame with a large base designed for children one to ten years old with neurological, balance, or lower extremity disabilities. Useful for children who are just beginning to pull to stand or move in a standing position, but who do not have the balance or endurance to do so independently, the removable, aluminum bars may be used to gain arm extension with abduction and grasp in learning to get up and down from sitting to standing, and to develop weight shifting in preparation for standing and walking. A therapy bench (not included) can be placed on the base behind the poles for practice in moving from sitting to standing.The base is padded and covered with vinyl. DIMENSIONS: Poles are 1 1/8 inches in diameter, length adjustable 8.75 inches forwards or back, and height adjustable from 41 to 53 inches. The base is 39.5 x 30 inches. The distance between the poles is adjustable from 19.5 to 28.5 inches.
