The Tuffy Wide Super Hemi 358 is a heavy-duty, folding manual wheelchair designed for use by shorter, large adults with lower extremity, mobility or neurological disabilities or spinal cord injury, as well as wide amputees and those who propel wheelchairs by foot. In addition to the standard 358 model, this wheelchair comes in wide (models 358X and 358SXE) versions. FRAME (HxLxW): 33.75 x 42 or 44 x 30 or 32 inches. The folded dimensions (LxW) are 34 x 12 inches. The triple chrome plated steel folding frame has stainless steel side panels with double cross bar construction and reinforcement welds that strengthen the design. Anti-tippers and an anti-folding device are optional. SEAT (WxD): (22 or 24) x 20 inches. The seat-to-floor height is 16 inches. A non-removable 17.5-inch high back is standard. A seatbelt and headrest extension are optional. UPHOLSTERY: Dark blue sling upholstery of padded double-embossed, flame retardant vinyl. ARMRESTS: Removable desk- length padded armrests are standard. BRAKES: Adjustable toggle wheel locks are standard. Wheel lock extension tubes are optional. CASTERS: 5 x 1 inch casters with solid rubber tires. WHEELS: 20 x 1 inch rear molded wheels with solid rubber tires are standard. Pneumatic tires and pneumatic tires with flat-free inserts are optional. Handrims are standard; projection handrims and a one arm drive are optional. FOOTRESTS: Cam-action swing-away detachable footrests and padded legrests are standard. The front riggings extend from 14 to 19 inches. Elevating legrests (noted with an "E" in the model number) are available; they extend to 20 inches. Leg straps and an anti-theft lock for front riggings are optional. OPTIONS: Amputee adaptor; anti-theft bar; wheelchair tray; IV rod attachment and oxygen tank holder. CAPACITY: 450 pounds on models 358 and 358E or 500 pounds on models 358X or 358SXE. WEIGHT: 50 pounds (models 358 and 358E) or 52 pounds (models 358X or 358SXE).
