Picture of BRODA TILT WHEELCHAIR (MODEL 587) The Broda Tilt Wheelchair, model 587, is a tilt-in-space low seat wheelchair designed for indoor use by individuals with lower extremity, mobility, or balance disabilities. The front pivot seat tilt allows for proper positioning of the foot on the floor for propelling the chair while tilted. FRAME (LxW): 51 x seat width plus 10.5 inches. The frame is 16-gauge tubular powder coated steel. Anti-tippers are included. SEAT (LxW): Standard seats are 17 x 16 inches or 17 x 18 inches. Optional seat dimensions are 14 x 15.5 inches or 20 x 20 inches. The standard floor-to-seat height is 19 inches, with 15, 16, 17, 18, or 20 inches available as options. The standard back height is 24 inches, with 26, 28, 30, or 32 inches available as an option. Seat tilt is infinitely adjustable within a range of 10 to 40 degrees. The seat has a suspension system of straps that conform individually to the user's body, thus suspending the user's weight across multiple points. The chair is also available without the strapping suspension system. Non-strapped chairs are available with a solid seat platform. An adjustable headrest with cover is included. UPHOLSTERY: Additional padding is available. ARMRESTS: Detachable fixed arms with side panels or adjustable, detachable full-length arms with side panels. FOOTRESTS: Removable, adjustable swing-away footrests. BRAKES: Wheel locks. CASTERS: 6-inch front rotational casters. WHEELS: 22- or 24- inch rear mag wheels. WEIGHT: 61 pounds without front rigging.
