--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 5/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Transcender is a stair climbing powered wheelchair. Five battery powered motors drive wheels and tracks which can be lowered as needed. Climbs or descends stairs, travels along slopes or over rough terrain. Control system operated by joystick. Contoured adjustable angle reclining bucket seat. Features 90 degree turn in a space with side dimension of 44 inches; spins on its own axis in a 48 inch diameter circle. Treaded tracks replace standard wheels and casters. POWER: Requires two 12-volt batteries. Will run 10 hours at 4 miles per hour. DIMENSIONS (LxHxW): 39.37 x 33.86 x 26.57 inches. WEIGHT: 268.5 pounds.

Notes: Designed to be used as standard powered wheelchair or as stair transporter.
