--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 4/1997) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Scalachair X1 is an accessory to the Scalamobil powered stair transport for a wheelchair (see separate entry) designed for especially narrow stair cases. This chair fits into the Scalamobil in place of the user's wheelchair. For ease of transferring, the arms rotate for lateral entry. The chair has small casters and a footrest. It may also be used for airplane access. The Scalaport X6 is designed for use in public places such as museums, city halls, businesses and retialers because of its capability to hold almost any wheelchair without the need for custom fittings and clamps.
