The Escort 4300 is a four-wheeled powered scooter designed for use by individuals with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. FRAME (WxLxH): The scooter frame is 24 x 44 x 42 to 49 inches. The turning radius is 37 inches. this scooter is available in midnight blue or burgundy red and is equipped with five-inch rear anti-tippers. Three-piece construction allows for disassembly for storage and transport. CONTROLS: Integrated microprocessor-based control box mounted on T-shaped handlebars with an on/off key switch, forward/reverse lever, and a horn. RWD: Rear-wheel direct drive one horsepower transaxle system. SEAT (WxD): The contoured, adjustable swivel seat is 18 x 18 inches. The seat height from the floor adjusts from 24 to 27 inches. The back height adjusts from 21 to 28 inches. UPHOLSTERY: Padded vinyl upholstery in black or gray. ARMRESTS: Flip-up arms with padded armrests. Each armrest's width adjusts from 19 to 26 inches. BRAKES: Automatic electronic brake system with manual release lever. WHEELS: 10 x 3 inch rear wheels; 9 or 10 x 3 inch front wheels. All wheels have puncture-resistant pneumatic tires. POWER: Uses two deep cycle U-1 batteries (not included) with a 3-amp, 24-volt internal charger. The control box is equipped with a liquid crystal display (LCD) battery indicator. SPEEDS: The maximum speed is 6 miles per hour for a range of 24 miles. The maximum incline is 12 percent. A variable speed control is located on the control box. OPTIONS: Rear mount shopping basket, front head light, canvas cover, IV rod attachment, oxygen tank holder, and a cane holder. CAPACITY: 280 pounds. WEIGHT: The front section weighs 27 pounds, the rear section weighs 35 pounds, and the seat weighs 33 pounds.
