--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 08/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Computer program designed for individuals in the beginning stages of independent mobility and orientation training. A map is drawn on the monitor screen. A marker is placed on the end of one of the streets to designate the destination. User studies map and the orientation of the traveler. Map is removed, except for the immediate area around the traveler, user must move towards destination. As traveler moves the visible neighborhood around it moves. Program ends when traveler reaches destination. Map may be reviewed by pressing the M key. Number of times user refers to map is reported at the end. Hardware requirements include Apple IIe, II+, or IIc with disk drive, optional printer, Atari joystick, Sirius joyport, Apple II+ game paddles, color monitor; or Atari 800XL, 1200XL, or 130XE with disk drive, Atari joystick, Atari game paddle, and color monitor; or IBM PC or PC JR with disk drive, optional printer, IBM joystick, IBM game paddles, and color monitor.
