« Previous Product Next Product »The Sensory Stimulation Kit, model 1-08610-00, is a perceptual training activity designed for professionals working with children who are blind or have low vision or multiple disabilities. It comprises the Auditory Kit, model 1-08640-00; the Tactual-Kinesthetic Kit, model 1-08630-00; the Visual Kit, model 1-08620-00; and the Olfactory-Gustatory Kit, model 1-08650-00. The kits contain sensory materials designed to help in the development of basic sensory processes in young children, particularly those with multiple disabilities including visual impairment. The activities in these kits provide children with a wide range of basic sensory stimulation experiences, using bells, lights, textured mittens, a vibrator, a brush, a blow dryer, etc. The complete kit includes a total of 25 groups of items within the five sensory modalities, a teacher's guidebook in print, and activity cards for each item (suggestions for presenting items sequentially and appropriately for functional level of child). OPTIONS: A penlight with color caps and flashlight with color discs (1-08390-00, see separate entry) is also available. The Auditory, Tactual-Kinesthetic, Visual, and Olfactory-Gustatory Kits, the Teacher's Guidebook (8-11850-00), and the Activity Cards (8-11860-00) are available separately.
