Picture of SPEAKQ SpeakQ is voice input and word prediction software designed for use by individuals with learning disabilities. This voice input program is a plug-in for WordQ (see separate entry). To train the program to recognize the his or her speech, the user repeats words spoken by the computer. Once the program is trained, the user can dictate text in either continuous speech mode or by selecting words from a list generated through word prediction. Recognized words and phrases are immediately read aloud to help the user identify mis-recognitions, and word prediction helps the user to make corrections. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computres. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows ME, NT, 2000 or XP operating system.
