J-Say Professional is a voice input program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This product enables users of JAWS for Windows (see separate entry) to talk to the computer using a natural voice, and obtain speech feedback of their dictation and other related on-screen activity. This program supports use of the voice for computer input and control in conjunction with the keyboard. The program can be used for writing and formatting documents in a word processor such as Microsoft Word, writing e-mail, and navigating the Internet. Users can also set and locate bookmarks within Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Internet Explorer using voice input. The program includes an interactive help system containing information about the program, specific to each application. Users can train the speech recognition software to understand the voice, as well as having speech based access to the suite of features and facilities contained within Dragon Naturally Speaking (see separate entry). The program comes on a CD-ROM with a web-based interface, and comes with Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred version 7; a basic headset/microphone; and a manual in print, braille, and HTML. COMPATIBILTY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: JAWS for Windows screen reader program version 6.1 Screen Reader.
