The Big Blue Mouse, model BBM 931, is a mouse emulator designed for use by individuals with cognitive, learning, fine motor, mobility or upper extremity disabilities. This keyboard-style mouse gives "points of compass" control over the mouse pointer. When the user holds down the appropriate key, the mouse pointer on the screen moves in that direction until the key is released; pointer speed is adjustable. The Big Blue Mouse utilizes the Mousekeys feature of Microsoft Windows accessibility via the wheelchair icon in the settings/control panel menu. The clear plastic cover is waterproof for protection and ease in cleaning. The unit's eight-foot cable connects to the standard keyboard socket, or to a Y-Key Key (see entry and comment below). COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible microcomputers. DIMENSIONS (L x H): 9 x 9 inches, and one inch thick. The keys are 1.5 inches square. WEIGHT: 1 pound.
