(Verified 4/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The ASL CD-ROM Series: Volume I Vocabulary, Grammar Sentence Structures, model 2001CD, is an interactive sign language program for people with learning disabilities. Designed for everyone from beginning signers to interpreters, this learning software enables users to practice signing and interpreting skills at the click of a mouse. The software emphasizes vocabulary building and sentence modeling by demonstrating and explaining 100 commonly used signs and provides comparisons of American Sign Language (ASL), Pidgin Sign English (PSE) and written language. Users can practice interpretation through voice-to-sign and sign-to-voice exercises and strengthen their grammatical skills with varied lesson formats. The program features a full multi-media experience, including video-clips, textfiles, still-frame photos, audio clips, full-screen video displays, speed controls and interactive games. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PC compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Requires 386SXPC, Windows 3.1 or higher, 256 color display, MPC compatible CD-ROM drive and a mouse. OPTIONS: A sound board is recommended. WARRANTY/GUARANTEE: Defective videotapes will be replaced at no charge if reported within 30 days of receipt. Returned videotapes will be accepted within 30 days for credit, refund or exchange when accompanied with a brief letter of explanation.
