(Verified 11/2002) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Mini Reader System, model X-MRS, is a portable video magnifier designed to magnify images for individuals with low vision. It operates by placing a camera with roller stand directly on the material to be viewed. The camera can also be used freehand for uneven surfaces. The system comes with a compact black and white TV/monitor for viewing either camera or TV images. Magnification ranges from 2.5 to 12 times and can be greater with a larger TV. The camera comes with reversal option (white on black or black on white) for individual contrast needs and dual lamps for uniform lighting. The system comes complete with the camera, monitor, accessories for larger TV hook-up, a soft carrying case, and spare bulbs. POWER: Rechargeable battery (2 to 3 hours) or AC/DC adapter for 110 household current or 12 volt adapter for motor vehicles. DIMENSIONS: Five inch TV/monitor. WEIGHT: 11 pounds. WARRANTY: Two years.
