------- "DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY ------- PURPOSE: Improves ability to hold canoe paddle with limited hand function. Custom made handgrips can be fabricated by adding velcro to the palm of a glove and the shaft of the paddle. Graphic of glove and paddle placement included. Other suggestions include using unfeathered blades for an amputee; an extra long unfeathered paddle tucked under the armpits to allow the person's trunk movement to assist in paddling.
