(Verified 08/94) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Keyboard Expander is a software and hardware combination that permits customization and redefinition of keys on any expanded keyboard. The Keyboard Expander also permits user definition of the amount of time that a user needs to hold down a key before it repeats and before it produces a letter on the screen. The software component is memory-resident; the hardware consists of a specially designed half- length card that fits inside the computer. The software can hold 9 keyboard layouts in its memory at one time, allowing up to 1,152 keys and/or messages on a Unicorn keyboard (see entry) and 576 keys and/or messages on a TASH Mini keyboard (see entry). The software can define both keyboard keys or messages on the same keyboard layout, and works in all text and graphic modes. A cable is supplied for connecting a Unicorn or Mini keyboard to the Keyboard Expander. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PS/2 Models 25/30 and IBM PC computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The system requires 64K of memory.
