« Previous Product Next Product »The Notesai is a modified keyboard designed for use by people with upper extremity disabilities, neurological disabilities, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, or spastic quadriplegia. Based on the Lomak keyboard (see separate entry), the Notesai is designed especially for people with head control. The keys are arranged in three circles with each key equidistant from the confirm key; however, in comparison to the Lomak the alphabetical keys are spaced further apart to accommodate tremors and involuntary head movement. There are 105 keys, 87 keyboard buttons and 18 mouse control buttons. Each key or mouse function must be confirmed before that keystroke is sent to the computer in order to reduce the chance of accidental inputs and the error rate and to improve overall speed. The Notesai is operated by using an infrared head pointer (included). COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers or Apple Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: USB port and Windows 98 or higher or Mac OS. POWER: The Notesai keyboard uses the USB connection; the head pointer is a class 1 laser and uses rechargeable lithium-polymer (charger included). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): The keyboard is 30 x 390 x 215 millimeters (mm); the head pointer (without headband) is 15 x 67 x 33 mm. WARRANTY: 1-year limited warranty.
