This magnifier connects to a desktop personal computer (PC) or laptop computer, and can be used in a classroom, lecture hall, or office. The magnifier includes an autofocus camera on a flexible head that rotates both vertically and horizontally for near or distance viewing. An intelligent camera preset system allows the unit to remember specific image settings when connected to a PC. Magnification and viewing mode automatically re-adjust to previously selected settings when the camera is moved from distance to near viewing and back. Images can be captured and stored for later reference. Magnification is from 4X to 40X, with 10X optical zoom. Viewing modes include full color, high contrast black/white, reverse mode, and various foreground and background color combinations. Other viewing options include picture-in-picture, lines and windows, and image rotation. Brightness, contrast, color saturation, and hue are adjustable. The magnifier has a USB port for connecting to the laptop or PC, and is compatible with Lunar, Lunar Plus, SuperNova, and ZoomText screen magnification software.
