« Previous Product Next Product »The Alert Sentry System is an emergency alert system with monitoring service designed for use by seniors and individuals with disabilities who are at risk for medical emergencies. The system comes with a portable pendant and a desktop console unit that connects to the user's telephone line. When an emergency situation occurs, the user pushes an emergency button on the pendant or the console. A trained call center operator speaks to the user through the main console unit's speakerphone function. The operator confirms the user's immediate needs and takes action based on the user's direction or a pre-arranged plan. If the operator cannot hear the user's voice, a pre-planned response is taken. Depending on the need, the response may include an emergency call to the local fire or police station, or to a family member or friend. The console's speakerphone function also allows the user to answer regular telephone calls by pushing the remote button when the phone rings.
Notes: The manufacturer states that this product has been independently tested and conforms to Underwriters' Laboratories (UL) standards 1635 and 1637 for use in Home Health Care signaling. ** The monthly call center monitoring fee is $29.95, billed quarterly in advance. There is a one-time activation fee of $49.95. Equipment is provided free with the monitoring service.
