The Scout is a child's manual wheelchair and stroller designed for indoor or outdoor use by children with mobility, neurological, or severe physical disabilities. FRAME (HxLxW): Folding frame. Model SC14 is 38 x 54 x 26 inches open, model SC16 is 39 x 55 x 28 inches open, and model SC18 is 39 x 56 x 30.5 inches open. The chair can be folded in one step with most options in place. Folded dimensions are 15.5 x 52 x 16 inches for model SC14, 15 x 55 x 16 inches for model SC16, or 16.5 x 57 x 16 inches for model SC18. A built-in lock keeps the chair securely folded for transit. An optional Transit or Bus model includes bus/van tie-down anchors. SEAT (LxW): 11.5 to 14.5 x 14 inches on model SC14, 13 to 16 x 16 inches on model SC16, or 16 to 19 x 18 inches on model SC18. The seat back height is 22.5 inches on model SC14, 24 inches on model SC16, or 25 inches on model SC18, with an optional 8-inch headrest extension. A three-point positioning belt is included, and the transit model has an H-harness with padded strap covers and a headrest extension. The chair has built-in lumbar support and a 20-degree fixed tilt at shoulder level. UPHOLSTERY: Upholstery is removable and washable and comes in electric blue, purple, red, turquoise, plum, or riptide. ARMRESTS: Flip-up armrests. BRAKES: Hand-operated disc brakes. WHEELS: Large, knobby wheels with toggle wheel locks. FOOTRESTS: Removable and adjustable footplates. The Transit model has heel loop ankle cuffs. CAPACITY: 100 pounds for model SC14 regular and transit, 170 pounds for models SC16 regular and transit and SC18 transit, or 250 pounds for modesl SC18 regular. WEIGHT: Model SC14 weighs 32 pounds, model SC16 weighs 35 pounds, and model SC18 weighs 38 pounds. WARRANTY: Lifetime warranty on frame and cross braces; one year on fabric and other components.

Notes: The manufacturer states that the Scout Transit model has been crash tested at 30 miles per hour with 20g deceleration in a forward facing configuration using a five point tie-down.
