--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 04/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- BullsEye is a tactile game program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. It is designed for use on the VTPlayer (see separate entry), a tactile electronic game device. In this game, the player is an archer, shooting arrows with a bow at a target. In the center of the screen is a square frame containing a target. The target consists of three concentric circles, with the bull's eye in the center. The game teaches the player how to build a mental image of a complex object (part to whole) along with navigation in Cartesian space. It also encourages development of sensitivity to tactile differentiation of line thicknesses. Teachers and parents can interact with the player by moving the target via the arrow keys.
