12 27 Alternative human propelled vehicles

12 27 04 Transportation chairs

Devices for short distance transportation in a sitting position, propelled and controlled by an attendant.
Attendant-controlled manual wheelchairs, see 12 22 18.

12 27 07 Prams and buggies

Wheeled devices for carrying one or more persons in a lying or sitting position, designed to be propelled and steered by an attendant.
Included are prams and buggies for adults.

12 27 09 Sleds and sledges

Devices designed for conveying people over ice and snow mounted on runners with or without wheels.
Included are, e.g., kick sleds.

12 27 15 Crawlers and mobility boards

Wheeled devices on which a person lies or sits and moves by pushing on the floor with the arms or legs.

12 27 18 Wheeled stretchers, pedal cars and playing carts

Wheeled stretchers are mobile platforms designed to transport people in a lying position and are manually propelled.
Pedal cars are small car-shaped vehicles propelled by pedals.
Playing carts are wheeled toys for sitting on or in.

12 27 24 Manually powered stand-on mobility devices

Devices that are propelled by the occupant using the arms and are used in a standing position only.
