1. A.E.R. (AUTO EDEMA REDUCTION) BOOT

   The A.E.R. (Auto Edema Reduction) Boot is an intermittent compression unit designed to reduce swelling in the lower extremity. This device uses natural mechanical action to produce a dynamic reduction of fluid from the leg. When the boot contacts the ground in the walking motion, air from a chamber beneath the foot is compressed, causing the pressure in the chambers to increase. When weight bearing is achieved, the pressure reaches a maximum level. When the foot begins to leave the ground, pressure is decreased, resulting in dynamic intermittent compression. The boot is available in a standard model and a sport model, both with a hand pump. The sport model features inside pockets to accommodate ice or FlexiPAC (see separate entry) cold packs for combination cold and compression therapy. SIZES: One size. This system combines a deluxe PresSsion pump (see entry) with an A.E.R. Boot to achieve active and passive compression therapy. 24. CARPAL TUNNEL STRETCH

    The Carpal Tunnel Stretch is a hand exerciser designed for use by individuals with carpal tunnel syndrome or to aid in the prevention of carpal tunnel syndrome. Available for the right or left hand, this lightweight device stretches the tight soft tissue of the carpal tunnel. The user places his/her hand in the device and presses down for three to five seconds to stretch. The process should be repeated several times each day.

25. CARPAL-TRAC

    The Carpal-Trac is a traction system designed to alleviate pressure on the soft tissue structures of the wrist. The interlocking wrist strap allows therapeutic traction without compressing the carpal tunnel area. This system can be used with most clinical traction units and a choice of one clevis is included.

26. CHATTA-BOOT

    The CHATTA-Boot is an ankle foot orthosis designed to prevent contractures due to immobility. 43. EMG RETRAINER

    The EMG Retrainer is an EMG feedback unit designed for use with individuals with orthopedic or neuromuscular disabilities or chronic pain. This palm-sized, portable, dual-channel unit continuously measures and quantifies muscle movement and displays the results on the built-in flip-up liquid crystal display (LCD) and provides video and audio feedback. The system is menu-based for quick set-up and information for up to eight protocols can be stored. Targets can be set manually, by peak muscle activity, or by average muscle activity. A zoom feature concentrates the activity around the target. Additional features include automatic gain control and a built-in speaker.     The EMG Retrainer is an EMG feedback unit for muscle re-education for individuals with neurological disabilities and motor disabilities. The EMG Retrainer measures and quantifies muscle movement with the results displayed on a liquid crystal display (LCD). It can be programmed to assess the activity of healthy and damaged muscle. This dual channel unit is designed to continuously monitor muscle movement, providing visual and auditory feedback.     The Gel-Medex Ultra is a gel floatation mattress surface designed for use by individuals at risk for pressure sores.
