  1. ADA 100 AREA OF RESCUE CALL SYSTEM Picture of ADA 100 AREA OF RESCUE CALL SYSTEM

The ADA 100 Area of Rescue Call System is an intercom based call signal system that is designed to be vandal-proof and in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act requirements. The system consists of multiple Master stations that are either wall- or desk- mounted, and up to 60 of individual area stations, installed flush in the wall or surface mounted, in Areas of Rescue Assistance. This 2-way communication system presents both locations with visual as well as audible signals, and allows hands-free voice communication from area stations. The following equipment comes standard with the system: 16-gauge stainless steel stations, amplifier (model ADA-35), transformer, audible and visual alarms, engraved lettering, back-up battery, and tamper-proof hardware. OPERATION: On each area station module are 2 lights corresponding to the messages "Help Requested" and "Help Coming", a large round "HELP" button, and a speaker. A person in need of aid presses the button and the "Help Requested" light turns on. At the same time, an electronic signal is sent to the Master station indicating the location of the call. If the person in the Area of Rescue Assistance cannot hear or respond to the verbal reply from the Master station, the "Help Coming" light is turned on by the Master station attendant who can then send help. OPTIONS: Braille; electronic door opener; up to 100 area stations; solid brass construction. The call tone has an oscillator amplification frequency of 400 Hertz (Hz). POWER: The amplifier is powered by a 16-volt 20 V transformer (model ADA-16). DIMENSIONS: The Master station panel is 7 7/8 x 7 inches; Area station panels are 7 7/8 inches square. The desktop model is triangular in shape, 4.5 inches high and 7 inches long. The "Push for Help" button on the area stations is 3 inches in diameter. WARRANTY: All equipment is factory warranted for 2 years.

  2. ADA 121 AUDIO VISUAL ALERT SYSTEM Picture of ADA 121 AUDIO VISUAL ALERT SYSTEM

The ADA 121 Audio Visual Alert System is a flashing light and enhanced audible doorbell signal. This modular device enables people with visual and/or hearing impairments to be made aware of incoming telephone calls and/or when visitors to their residence are outside their front door and ringing the doorbell. Resident awareness is stimulated via a very loud piezoelectric buzzer and a flashing strobe light. The length of the sound emitted and the strobe flashing may be adjusted from 1 to 60 seconds and can be reset anytime in between. The system is designed to work with existing residential or building access control systems including: doorbell, intercom, telephone entry, and emergency call systems; as well as the standard telephone system (POTS). Pressing the ON/OFF button on the vandal-resistant unit once turns on the unit and power LED and pressing it again turns off the unit. When activated, the unit will sound a 90 decibel (dbA) piezoelectric buzzer and illuminate a 110-candela flashing strobe light. Pressing the RESET button will stop the buzzer and strobe and reset the system for the next alarm. Activation is accomplished by pushing the residence’s doorbell, or depressing the appropriate residence intercom button, a telephone entry system, or by dialing the residence telephone number from a standard telephone system. Each time the residence is contacted the buzzer will sound and the flashing strobe light will illuminate, notifying the resident that someone is trying to contact them. Up to five ADA 121 remote units may be used together in a single system. The ADA-121 is designed to be mounted surface or flush using a 3-gang old or new work box (flush mount), or a 3-gang Wiremold box (surface mount). POWER: Uses either 12-24-volt direct current (DC) wall-mounted plug-in transformer or is 24-volt alternating current (AC) hardwired.
