    The Activity Apron is a sensory integration activity designed to provide visual and tactile stimulation for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias or cognitive disabilities. This product offers a a variety of activities intended to calm the user and hold their interest, including threading a shoe lace, buttoning a series of buttons, and stroking a soft, furry pocket. The Activity Apron is also designed to improve fine motor skills. Other features include a Velcro key chain loop, zipper, rope and lace holes, and a plastic pocket to hold a tissue, hankerchief or family picture. The apron secures around the user's waist or onto a chair tray. This apron is machine washable. COLOR: Multi-colored activity areas with a light blue background.

    The Automatic Faucet Control is a water flow control designed for use by individuals with memory or cognitive disabilities or upper extremity disabilities. This device prevents the water from being left on and provides access for those unable to turn a tap. The device replaces the aerator on existing faucets and turns the water on when the hanging wand is nudged. When the slight pressure is removed, the water automatically turns off.

    The Automatic Wheelchair Anti-Rollback Device is a supplemental wheel locking device designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. As the individual rises from the chair, a pair of brake arms grab the tires to prevent the chair from rolling backwards. Once the user is seated, the device releases and goes into "stand-by" mode and the wheelchair returns to standard operation. Activated by spring tension, a padded lever beneath the wheelchair seat is depressed when the user is seated. This lever is connected to a pair of stainless steel brake arms that are held just off the surface of the rear tires. As the user's weight is lifted from the seat, the spring force causes the lever to rotate and lock the wheels. The greater the rearward force on the chair, the greater the braking power.

    Clothing with Dignity are a women's shower robe or men's shower shorts designed for use with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or cognitive disabilities. Intended for wear by those who resist disrobing to bathe, these garments are designed to be worn in the shower and replaced with the dry outer garment when exiting the shower without requiring total undressing. The pieces lift up to allow access for body cleansing, but shield the wearer's view, allowing a sense of dignity to be retained. The two-piece men's set includes a set of inner and outer shorts. The women's set includes inner and outer tops and inner and outer bottoms. SIZES: Small (fits waists 22 to 27 inches), medium (fits waists 28 to 33 inches), large (fits waists 34 to 39 inches), and extra large (fits waists 40 to 45 inches). On the back of each card is the word for or describing the object in 17 different languages (English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Russian, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Polish, Filipino, Portuguese, Greek, Thai, and Arabic). For those who may once again only speak their primary language, these cards provide a means of connection. DIMENSIONS: Each card is approximately 3.5 x 5 inches.

    The CookStop, models CSA-3WP-IRF and CSA-4WP-IRF, is a stove safety sensor designed for use by individuals with cognitive or memory disabilities or Alzheimer's disease. The system includes a monitoring unit with a motion detector that monitors the appliance's use and a power box that controls power to the stove. The monitoring unit can be programmed to automatically turn off the stove and oven after 5 seconds to 90 minutes if no activity detected in the kitchen (the factory default is 5 minutes). The CookStop is programmable to allow access to the stove/oven only during certain hours of the day, and it can be over-ridden to cook meals when it is safe to leave the kitchen. To restart or continue cooking after the stove has been turned off, the user and push the green "COOK" button. POWER: Works with either 3- or 4-prong 240-Volt plugs. The belt allows the caregiver to use his/her weight to counterbalance. Reinforced with nylon, the machine-washable belt slips under the arms and around the back of the person being assisted.     Grip-n-Assist Professional is a transfer aid designed for use with individuals with mobility, walking or standing disabilities. The belt is used for sitting transfers or for supporting an individual when standing or walking. It designed for heavy use in domestic, institutional and professional settings. The belt can be worn by the person with a disability and held by the caregiver or worn the caregiver with the person with a disability holding the handle. The belt is secured by an adjustable strap that fastens with a Velcro strap and a nylon buckle. It is made of mildew- and water-resistant materials that are also fire retardant. The Grip-n-Assist Professional has two vertical handles in the front and two diagonal handles on the side adjacent to the hips. All four handles have soft grips. SIZES: One size fits all. Designed for adults, these puzzles have a matte finish to prevent glare or reflection and bright, simple color graphics that are easily recognizable and large enough to be seen by individuals with vision impairment. Pictures are laminated on puzzle pieces and the puzzle base encourages matching. Each piece has at least one straight edge for added cuing. Piece-to-piece edges do not interlock, but rather are gentle curves that fit together to eliminate forcing pieces together. If a fire starts on the burner as a result of cooking food left unattended or a burner left on, the device activates, dumping bicarbonate of soda on the flames. Each individual unit protects two burners.

When the individual is separated from the caregiver by a pre-determined distance from 10 to 20 feet, a signal is sent frrom the pendant to the receiver, sounding an alarm.     The Talking Motion Detective is a wandering patient system designed for use with people with cognitive disabilities or Alzheimer's Disease. This wireless, two-piece, expandable motion detector announces specific information to alert the caregiver. One speaker unit can monitor up to six motion detectors, each providing different information for different exits or areas of the home . For example, the system might announce "Dad is trying to go out the back door!" or "Mom is in the kitchen." Additional speaker units can be located at the sites of the movement violation to give instructions to the individual, such as, "Dad, don't go outside. Wait just a moment and I'll be there to help you." The instructions are announced simultaneously with the warning in the caregiver's location that Dad is going out the back door. Features include six-zone monitoring capability, customized voice-recordable alerts, all weather, wireless PIR sensor motion detector, multiple beam patterns for optimal detection, volume control, message playback buttons to test recorded messages, a digital recording chip to permit voice messages to be changed as needed, missed message indicator to alert caregivers to activity that occurred during his/her absence. The system has solid state construction and a range of 300 feet and can operate through walls. POWER: The motion detectors use a nine-volt battery and the speaker unit plugs into a 110-volt electrical outlet. A low battery indicator identifies sensors that have a low battery.
