    The Magnifying America Patriot, model MAE-BS-14, is a desktop video magnifier designed for use by individuals with low vision. This black-and-white video magnifier can be used for reading, writing, and viewing photographs. Images can be viewed as white on black or black on white. Magnification ranges from three to 45 times original size on the included television monitor. The magnifier can also be connected to a home television, with magnification up to over 100 times. DIMENSIONS: Display screen is 14 inches diagonally.

    The Magnifying America Patriot, model XLC, is a desktop video magnifier designed for use by individuals with low vision. Magnification ranges from four to 80 times original size, with custom variable magnification and freeze capture. Images and text can be viewed in color, black and white, reverse video, and high contrast modes. The sliding X-Y viewing table moves from front to back and side-to-side with margin stops and variable friction brake control. Model XLC-AF has an auto-focus camera with manual focus override. The housing is aluminum with a steel frame. The monitor can be used for normal television viewing. DIMENSIONS: Monitor measures 20 inches diagonally. The clearance between the camera and the viewing tray is 7 inches. WARRANTY: Two years parts and labor.

    The Magnifying America Patriot Eagle is a desktop video magnifier designed for use by individuals with low vision. It has a steel frame with an auto-focus camera, a viewing table with one touch electronic braking, and large, tactile control buttons. The color monitor displays images in full color, black and white, and reverse video modes. Magnification ranges from three to 60 times original size on a 14-inch monitor, and from five to 85 times on a 20-inch monitor. OPTIONS: 14-inch or 20-inch monitor.

Magnification ranges up to 90 times original size.

    The Kurzweil - National Federation of the Blind Reader is a voice output optical character recognition device designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This handheld unit scans text and reads it aloud with synthetic speech. The user holds the unit's camera over print, and it snaps a picture. In seconds it reads the contents of the printed document in clear synthetic speech. Scanned text can be discarded, stored for later reading, or transferred to a computer or braille notetaker/ PDA. To aid the user in aiming the camera, the unit provides a spoken Field of View report, telling the user which of the edges of a document are within the camera's field of view and how large the image is in the viewing area. There is also a viewfinder for sighted use. The device has nine control buttons, a visual display screen, and a headphone jack. POWER: Uses household current and a rechargeable camera battery. An extra battery and an external recharger are included.
