(Verified 03/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Rex Disposable Talking Prescription Bottle is a voice output medication label system designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. The system allows pharmacists to electronically record label information to the pill bottle in a natural sounding computer- generated voice. As the pharmacist sends label information to the pharmacy's printer, the label information is automatically recorded into the base of the bottle through text-to-speech software. Bottles are disposable, and labels may be recorded in a variety of languages including English and Spanish. OPTIONS: Starter Kit for Personal Use containing three bottles, a recording unit, a microphone, a power supply, and instructions; Refill Kit containing three additional talking bottles; and a case of 24 talking bottles.
