  1. PIXREADER Picture of PIXREADER

    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 3/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- PixReader is a symbolic language picture creation program designed for use with individuals with cognitive disabilities. This program adds speech to Picture It documents (see separate entry), reading those documents aloud. The voice output can be used for communication boards, to read exercises, and to read entire stories. When a Picture It file is opened into PixReader, the computer displays and reads that document. The document may be read one word at a time or in its entirety with the press of a key. COMPATIBILITY: Hybrid CD-ROM for use on IBM and compatible computers and Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95 or higher or Macintosh System 7.1 or higher and a CD-ROM drive.
