BIG BUTTON, LOUD VOLUME, CID CORDLESS PHONE (MODEL CL-30)
The Big Button, Loud Volume, CID Cordless Phone, model CL-30, is a large button, voice output amplified telephone designed for use by individuals with low vision or who are hard of hearing. This cordless telephone talking caller identification in English or French that announces the caller's telephone number when a call is received. The dialing buttons are large with and back-lit, and provide audible feedback when pressed to verify that the user is dialing the correct number. Incoming sound is amplified up to 40 decibels (dB) in the handset and the ringer is amplified up to 90dB. Other dialing features include eight one-touch speed dial buttons and a one-touch button for hands free emergency calls. The CL-30 has a base unit with speakerphone; hearing aid-compatible handset; volume control; flashing ringer on the handset and the base; and visual indicators for missed calls and voicemail. TEENAGE SWITCH PROGRESSIONS
Teenage Switch Progressions is a control switch training program designed for use by teenagers with upper extremity disabilities. This program includes five simulation activities designed for those making the transition from randomly activating a single switch to activating a switch with specific timing. The skills taught include cause and effect (level 0) and attending to extended tasks (level 1), following directions (level 2), and responding to visual or auditory computer information (levels 3 and 4). Each activity can be selected at any level. Other adjustable parameters include reaction speed, penalty (for inattention or inappropriate activation), length of reinforcement, reinforcement upon switch hit or release, and auditory feedback. The graphics are age appropriate and the program enable the user to record music for use with the program. This program can be accessed using a switch, a touch screen, MouseClick, or the keyboard spacebar. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers or Apple Macintosh computers.
