Hydraulic jack lifter, mast with adjustable width base. For attendant use. Variety of 1 and 2 piece slings available. Capacity 400 pounds. Base adjusts from 22 to 40 inches wide. Shifter handle for adjusting legs. Low offset base available, 6 inch clearance. Nonadjustable base available. Mast can also be used with tub saddle. Can be used for car transfer. Slings not included. Model 9917 with C base.

Notes: Medicare covered with qualifications. ---EVALUATION--- These lifts were included in a "Product Comparison and Evaluation" study on Patient Lifts completed by the Rehabilitaion Engineering Center at the National Rehabilitation Hospital and ECRI under a cooperative agreement (##H- 133E80016) from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Resaerch (NIDRR) of the US Dept of Education. The 1990 study reports on how the lifts were evaluated, describes how the various types of lifts work, reports problems that were identified, lists the advantages and disadvantages of the individual lifts, and states conclusions regarding acceptability.
