Visual Assistant Keeps Users on Task

Article discusses the Visual Assistant from AbleLink Technologies, which is a customizable multimedia software program. The program was designed to help people with cognitive disabilities to learn and maintain various tasks and skills as created by caregivers, teachers, and/or employers. Instructional tasks are created by recording instructions and incorporating pictures of each step. Once created, the task reminders provide both visual and auditory task instructions. The Visual Assistant was designed to run on Windows CE palmtop computers.
