Tech/Touch the Future: AMDi's New Dynamic Screen AAC Device

Article discusses the Tech/Touch from Advanced Multimedia Devices, Incorporated (AMDi), which is a communication device that consists of a tablet personal computer that runs on the Windows XP Professional operating system. The device’s developers worked with Viking Software (VS) to incorporate one of three different communication programs into the device: (1) the VS Communicator Pro, which allows for text- or symbol-based communication, e-mail, text messaging, and environmental control, (2) the VS Communicator, which allows for text- or symbol-based communication, and (3) the VS Communicator On-Screen, which allows for onscreen features only.
