Top Ten Tips for a Successful Convention Trip with a Guide Dog

Article in which the author provides useful tips for people planning on attending conferences with their guide dogs. Ten tips are provided: (1) decide if a convention is the right place for your dog; (2) treat your dog for fleas before you leave home; (3) orient yourself to the hotel to make life easier for you and your dog; (4) remember your dog's needs as well as your own; (5) relieve your dog often; (6) clean up after your dog; (7) keep your dog out of the way; (8) beware of food; (9) give your dog breaks; and (10) listen to what your dog is telling you. Each piece of advice is discussed in detail.
