Inside Industry: Invacare Corporation

This brief article reports the receipt of a "Red Dot" award for highest design quality by Invacare's Action Storm power wheelchair in the 1995 Design Innovations, an international design competition that was held in Germany. The article reports on the success of the wheelchair's microprocessor control system, independent suspension, and tight turning radius among the judges. The article also announces the display of all award recipients from the competition in Essen, Germany, in June of 1995.
