Dog Teaches Disabled People to Surf

By FOXNews.com,
Publication Date: August 21, 2011

News program video segment features a service dog that helps surfers with disabilities ride the waves. Filmed on the beach in Delmar, California, the video shows 3-year-old golden retriever Ricochet, or Ricky, as she rides a surfboard with two surfers, one with a leg amputation and the other with arms too small to be usable. Ricky, wearing a T shirt with the logo “Surfice Dog,” keeps the surfboard balanced by standing on it and allows the rider to sit on the board or stand holding on to her back to keep steady while riding.
