(Verified 06/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- MouseAssist Pro is a macro creation and voice input program designed for use by individuals with upper extremity or fine motor disabilities. This program enables users to use mouse gestures, voice commands, or keyboard commands to start and control applications, run complex macros, go to specific Web sites, and perform other tasks. The program can be trained to recognize gestures made with a mouse on the mousepad and to perform actions recorded with a built-in macro recorder when these gestures are made. For example, the user could make a "C" gesture with the mouse to start Microsoft Calculator, make an "S" gesture to insert a signature line in a letter, or make a check mark gesture to go straight to a finance Web site to check on a stock portfolio. The user selects the gestured commands, and the actions performed by these commands, through a simple point-and-click interface. The program also allows users to use keyboard shortcuts or voice commands in the same way as mouse gestures. Voice commands are recognized with speaker-independent continuous speech recognition technology. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0 or 2000; 90 megahertz (MHz) Pentium-class processor for Windows 95/98/ME, or 120 MHz Pentium-class processor for NT 4.0/2000; at least 16 megabytes (MB) of random access memory (RAM) for Windows 95/98, or 32 MB RAM for NT 4.0/2000; Internet Explorer 4.0 or later.

Notes: A voice upgrade is available for earlier versions of MouseAssist that did not include voice input.
