Picture of UNIVERSAL TELEPHONE ALERT WITH STROBE (MODEL UTA-WH-VPS) The Universal Telephone Alert with Strobe, model UTA-WH-VPS, is a flashing telephone signal designed for use by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. This telephone ringer has a high intensity 15-candela flashing strobe light for visual signaling, and a high volume ringer with four selectable sounds (horn, bell, vibrating chime, or single chime). Volume ranges from 94 to 109 decibels (dB) at three feet (one meter), depending on voltage and sound type selected. The ringer has a 109 dB piezo speaker with tamper resistant volume control, and is equipped with a weather resistant backbox for optional outdoor use. POWER: Uses 115 volts alternating current (VAC) for strobe and piezzo operation, and telephone trigger voltage for activation.
