« Previous Product Next Product »Co:Writer 4000 is a word prediction program designed for use by children and teens with learning or upper extremity disabilities. This voice output program utilizes FlexSpell and the Total Vocabulary System (TVS) to provide users with the tools required for writing. FlexSpell enables students to work at their developmental spelling level by permitting them to begin words phonetically or by cueing initial letter combinations; both approaches provide lists from which the correct word can be selected. Predicted words are read aloud to aid in word recognition. The program automatically capitalizes the firs word of a sentence and spaces after words. The X:PND feature provides abbreviation expansion, enabling entire phrases or sentences to be written using a single keystroke. The Total Vocabulary System a selection of main dictionaries to provide the right option for user needs, as well as personal dictionaries, topic-specific dictionaries, and a topic dictionary toolkit. Background and text colors can be customized to meet user needs. COMPATIBILITY: For use on PowerMac or IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The PowerMac version requires Macintosh Operating System 7.6.1 or higher, a minimum of 15 megabytes (MB) RAM, a minimum of five MB hard drive space, and a CD-ROM drive. The IBM compatible version requires Windows 95, a Pentium/150 processor or better, a minimum of 16 MB RAM, a minimum of 8 MB hard drive space, a Sound Blaster or compatible sound card, and a CD-ROM drive.
