The Lightning Handcycle is a hand propelled tricycle designed for use by individuals with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This lightweight 8- or 9-speed racing cycle is customized to fit the individual rider. FRAME: 4130 Chromoly frame with adjustable B-B position, leg hook position, and steering axis. The frame is powder coated with a choice of colors. The cycle has Shimano CS-HG5018130 11-30T 8-speed or Shimano CS-HG50-9 11-32T 9-speed gear with Shimano FD-M510 front deraileur and Shimano RD-M510SGS rear deraileur. Knee straps, ankle straps, and an adjustable waist strap with clasp are included. CONTROLS: Shimano Sora ST-R400 Triple shifter (standard) or Shimano Tiagra ST-4400 dual control chifter (optional). HAND PEDALS: Aluminum custom molded lightweight handgrip with spindle extenders available for increased power and wider grip position. BRAKES: 1 Tektro Dual Pivot, 1 Promax Velo brake. WHEELS: Front - 26-inch Alex DA13 32H Silver CNC wheel with stainless 14 G Spokes and Shimano FH-MC18 BZ 32H hub, or 26-inch Alex DA13 32H anodized wheel with side wall, stainless 14 G bladed spokes, and Shimano FH-M510 32 H silver hub. Rear - 20-inch Alex DA16 28 H silver anodized wheels with stainless 14G spokes and Quando KT-B12R 36H hub, or 20-inch Alex DA 22 28H silver anodized wheels, FV stainless 14 G bladed, with Quando KT - B12R 36H hub.
